Spring is technically here so it’s a perfect time to introduce this piece. A Magical Hare, poised to disappear into the long grass. Watercolour on Baohung paper 300gsm. Available framed or unframed.

I adore their enormous back legs that drive them across a field in a blink, ears flattened, breaking the sound barrier, zig zagging and never losing traction.

In folklore they are tricksters and associated with fertility. Humans have been fascinated by them since whoenever we first met! They are Irelands national animal (The Irish Hare not the Mountain Hare) and they’ve also turned up in Medieval illuminated texts.

Hope you love him too.
