March is nearly over!

The 3rd month is on its way out and Spring is with us in a rush of blossom and soft breezes.

The biggest news I’ve had for a while is the sale if a painting at a local exhibition. I’m a member of my local art society and they stage an exhibition for members in Spring. A precious opportunity to get work seen in a wonderful setting, in this case the Harrow Arts Centre.

I submitted 4 pieces (a shot below of Pony and Hare) and Pony sold. I’ve shown work the last 2 years so it felt like a huge accomplishment to sell, especially when there is so much other incredible work around.

The portrait of the Pony is a departure for me in style. For the last year I’ve been part of weekly online art class with a local teacher and it’s made enormous changes in how I work. Its given me the confidence to be curious, throw self consciousness to the wind and get lost in the moment. We never stop learning.
