Small watercolour on cartridge paper 6 x 4 inches
A very loose, expressive watercolour of the rolling and, I feel, underappreciated landscape in Hertfordshire.
I wanted to capture the pooling deep shadows round the edges of the wooded areas and the bright greens in the Meadows where the sun lands.
thiught the best way to achieve what I was after, I took my glasses of and let the brush, water and colour have a conversation amongst themselves. I was merely eavesdropping.
